Printmaking Services
SFAP provides the space and expertise to create original relief and intaglio prints and monotypes. Utilizing traditional techniques, collaborative printer Sheila Coppola works together with artists, galleries, schools and others to produce new original prints. Experiments, ideas and learning nurture a working process in service to the artist's image. Services offered include printing, platemaking and letterpress special projects.
Specialty Services
Special custom services include carving from the artist's drawing on wood or linoleum, à la poupeé inking, chine collé and hand coloring. Equipment includes two letterpresses (largest 26 x 20), three intaglio presses (largest 65 x 39) and facilities for intaglio and relief platemaking. The studio contracts with outside venders for all photographic platemaking and does not print reproductions of completed artworks.
Workshops & Visits
Specially tailored workshops in drypoint, monotype, chine collé or woodcut processes are available to groups of 5 -10 participants. Private print viewings, tutoring sessions, tours and demonstrations may also be arranged. Your inquiries are encouraged, either by phone or email or if you wish to schedule a visit to the studio. In deference to the working artists, visits to the studio are by pre-arranged appointment only.
